Trained from an early age at the Royal College of Music, Jon teaches from beginner to advanced levels in Piano, music production and composition.

He passionately believes that everyone should have access to good quality, affordable lesson programs that make students feel like we are on this journey together.

It is this philosophy that has been at the forefront of everything we do at Melodies over the last 25 years.

Jon’s teaching specialities include classical, jazz and contemporary piano, composition and arranging, music production and sound design for commercial media.

As a graduate of the prestigious Wilkes academy, Lily started performing at age 6 and has trained in dancing , singing and acting skills which  continue to see Lily in demand as a stage performer and session vocalist.

Lily teaches and specialises in performance & vocal technique in the genres of pop, soul,R&B and Musical Theatre.

Lily is passionate about her teaching and works hard to ensure that her students not only build confidence, but find their unique style and train their voice to the best of their ability. She works with students of all ages and abilities. 

James started playing bass guitar at 11 years old before learning electric and acoustic guitar a few years later. James played in bands since he was 12, starting at school before joining a function band in sixth form, and has continued performing ever since.

James has experience in playing a wide range of styles, including rock, funk, pop and Irish folk, alongside recording, music production and developing his own playing style and tone.

James has a huge passion for music and loves helping students reach their potential, build confidence and discover their own musical identity. His goal is to help students develop the same love for music that he has.

James teaches the RSL syllabus.

Ella teaches vocals and performance at our Buntingford studio. 

She has a specialist skill set working with students from 4 to 18 integrating vocal performance with acting skills and has successfully integrated the LAMDA exam syllabus as part of our teaching program at Melodies.

Ella is also a big Disney and theatre enthusiast and uses both genres to motivate and fire the imagination of her students and build confidence.
